Tuesday - February 11

Tuesday - Feb 11

We went to breakfast this morning at McDonalds with Robert & Linda.  Then we headed to Lahaina with Linda while Robert went home to work on taxes.

Along the way we stopped at a turnout to view some whales.

A local woman was sitting in the tourist area selling jewelry...

This is the one tunnel on Maui:

We arrived in Lahaina and toured the Hui O Wa'a Kaulua boat that will be lauunching in May:

We then walked down Front Street and did some window shopping:

We were walking along the sidewalk and whallah - a woman was giving out samples of pizza.  It was so good that Norm suggested we have pizza for lunch.  We sat at a table overlooking Front Street and the ocean waves.  Perfect!  The pizza was deep dish and so yummy.

We also took some photo ops at the large banyan tree:

Not too crowded:

More sightseeing:

We found another uke shop called Kula Gold:

The vendor with beautiful parrots available for photos:

We saw this ukulele in a gallery that was hand painted on all 4 sides.

Another photo op - the Indian doesn't look very happy....

We saw some good T-shirts:

Of course....another Harley shop:

I bought a shell ring at Island Treasures Jewelry for $15 (reduced from $20  because Linda lives on the Island).  We later saw the same rings for $5.....what a rip!

We left Lahaina and drove to Napili and oogled the resorts and golf courses lining the coast.  We also walked through Whalers Village which is basically an upscale shopping mall.  Linda bought a new watch at the Brighton store:

Took a few photos around the Whalers Village mall -

We saw this book in one of the window displays -

Had to take a photo of the Maui Harley in Kihei as we were driving back to Linda and Robert's condo:

We spent the next 1.5 hours swimming - such mild weather and the pool water felt the same temperature as the air.
